This integrated approach helps maximize economic, social, and environmental impact.
Sustainable Production
Process Locally
Market Effectively
The transition from informal to formal and from artisanal to industrial production illustrates Niko Green’s evolution. Thanks to financial support from SNV through the PADANE project, Niko Green has acquired specialized equipment to produce passion fruit juice, thereby modernizing its operations and strengthening its contribution to sustainable agriculture and local economic growth.
As part of its commitment to supporting sustainable agricultural development in Burundi, the Segal Family Foundation provided funding to NIKO SEED. This support has helped create tangible opportunities for young people involved in passion fruit production within the COPAD cooperative. In addition to contributing directly to sustainable agriculture, the foundation supports NIKO SEED’s initiatives aimed at promoting projects designed by and for young people, thereby strengthening their commitment and autonomy.

The stories that inspire our mission

Every morning, I felt a heavy weight on my shoulders; I had just given birth to my daughter Gaëlla, and life seemed to be suffocating me. My nights had turned into a nightmare, and I feared I would never see the next dawn. The early hours of the day always brought despair. I had confused my grave with my reason for living—until I met Ms. Claudette Nduwayezu… who, to me, was the Good Samaritan.
